Has MIC outlived its usefulness?

Despite the beating it took in the last general election, the party which claims to be the legitimate voice of the Indians retains 4 parliamentary and 7 state seats, one through by-election. At its current state of demise even the party president G.Palanivel is a senator only ( not elected), obviously through the extended courtesy of the government. A 66 year old party, instrumental in the independence of the nation, a party that once truly worked hard for the uplifting of the community is now an obstacle, hindrance and stumbling block to the development of the Indians. After 2 decades of alleged mismanagement and other countless misconduct by its longest serving president  S.Samy Velu, what’s left now is a organized group of self-serving politicians.

As of the new president, all and sundry perceive him to be a weak leader, definitely not the one with the command and courage to overhaul the party. M. Muthupalniapan, an MIC detractor recently commented on him as someone that surrounds himself with a circle of people without any grassroots support. Former press secretary of Samy Velu and deputy president of MIC, Samy handed over the presidency to him in Dec 2010 in a silver platter. 2 years has passed since then and he has failed to rouse the confidence of Indians that MIC has awaken from its deep slumber. A pale comparison to his firebrand ex-boss there is rarely in the news. Being an ex journalist and press secretary and a part of the ruling coalition he could have easily portrayed himself and his party as the champion of the underclass but he didn’t. Are they really that confident sitting at their cozy offices and dreaming that the Indians will trust them with their votes or someone has promised that no matter what happens postal votes will come to their rescue. Is he that incompetent or cant be bothered?

to be continued..

Kulim Bandar Bahru MP Zulkifli Nordin

Im from Kulim and since my I/C is registered with kulim address so i vote there.(im currently in jb).PRU-12, I took leave and drove all the way from JB to Kulim to vote. On the polling day i walked proudly past the BN camp lighted a cigarette went to PKR camp checked my name in the list and voted for Zulkifli Nordin. When PKR win the Kulim Bandar Bahru Parlimentary seat i was happy and proud. Today about one and half years down the road i regret and curse myself for voting him. He is a f***** liability for Pakatan Rakyat. Coming PRU-13 if he stand for election under PKR ticket,me,my family members and friends (ill influence them) will cast our vote for Dacing.Untill Pakatan weeds out hypocrites and loose cannons among them they're set to loose more seats.Even Bung Mokthar Radin is so much better than Zulkifli.
